TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico - María Elena Chagoya Triana (18, 1.81m, Poza Rica) was crowned Nuestra Belleza Mundo México 2012 at the conclusion of the semifinals of the Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2012 pageant held at the Centro de Convenciones y Polyforum Chiapas in Tuxtla Gutiérrez on August 30. She will represent Mexico in Miss World 2013 in Jakarta, Indonesia on September next year. The remaining contestants will advance to the grand final of Nuestra Belleza México 2012 on September 1. Lucero Miroslava Montemayor Gracia finished as the runner-up.
