Liza Nerelyn Helder was appointed as Miss Universe Aruba 2012 by Marinus Wegereef, national director of Miss Universe in Aruba. She was the only person who registered to compete in the new Miss Universe Aruba pageant. For this reason the organization decided to send her to the international pageant. She will represent Aruba in Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas Strip, Nevada on December 19.
