Aylen Nail Maranges, Miss Argentina is the winner of Miss Italia Nel Mondo 2012

With only 6 representatives (Tunisia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Cape Verde, Sri Lanka), a special edition of Miss Italia Nel Mondo happened within the traditional Miss Italia pageant. The winner was Miss Argentina, Aylen Nail Maranges, 25 and 1m70, from Rosario.


Miss Italia nel Mondo was born in 1991 and it used to reunite about 40 beauties of Italian descent from all over the planet. Organizers announced that starting in 2012, the international pageant would be scrapped and the award would be given amongst the contestants of Miss Italia with international roots.

Camila Serakides (23) from Brazil, was crowned Miss Continente Americano 2012 during the 7th edition of the competition held at the Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on September 29th.
The 1st runner-up or “virreina” was Miss Panama, Maricely Gonzalez Pomares; and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Argentina, Josefina Herrero.
Paraguay (Liliana Santa Cruz), Costa Rica (Fabiana Granados) and Mexico (Karen Padilla) completed the group of finalists.
The winner was crowned by outgoing titleholder Claudia Schiess, of Ecuador.  The show also saw the debut of reigning Miss Ecuador Universe Carolina Aguirre as a singer.
Miss Canada, Kesiah Papasin was elected Miss Congeniality, and Miss Mexico Karen Padilla was Miss Photogenic. Colombia’s Melissa Cano won the Best National Costume award.

The Municipal Theater of Valencia was the venue for the election and crowning of Mrs Venezuela International 2012, or Señora Venezuela Internacional. The representative of Isla de Margarita, Mariela Ortega, was the winner, while the candidate from Miranda, María Eugenia Omaña, got the Mrs. Schwarzkopf Style title, the second most important prize of the night. Deysi Pulgar, from Valencia, was the 1st finalist. Ly Jonaitis, Miss Venezuela Universe 2007, hosted the event which is produced by Alexander Gonzales. 33 women competed in this year’s contest.
